Kimberly Erickson had
won the coveted title of Mrs. America’s Touch of Class 2006 on January 13th,
2006 Mrs. Erickson is married with four children, ranging from 15 months to
13 years old, and has her own financial wealth management firm located in
Granite Bay, California. Kimberly competed in glamorous Las Vegas, Nevada
against married women from all across the United States.
During her reign, Mrs. Erickson spoke out about SIDS (Sudden Infant
Death Syndrome) and the importance of SIDS education and research. Mrs.
Erickson’s infant son was almost lost to SIDS and as a result she is
dedicated to educating others about the unexpected aspects of this
life-threatening illness. SIDS accounts for over 8% of infant deaths and the
risk of SIDS can be reduced with education for parents as well as increased
funding for research. Mrs. Erickson said that she entered the pageant in
order to speak out to parents everywhere about the risks of SIDS and help
them prevent the devastating loss of a child.
