America's Touch Of Class 2006", Kimberly Erickson. Catherine's platform of
which she is the national spokesperson for is The Forgotten Soldier Outreach
Program. Sandra Browning Simone "Mrs. Nevada America's Touch of Class 2007"
was her first runner-up.
Her Platform is : Until They All Come Home
Forgotten Solider Outreach Program is a way for anyone at anytime to help
with the morale of the soldiers who are representing our country worldwide.
With this program anyone can send items for care packages, write cards of
support, or send an e-mail of support that will be included to all care
packages going out. Since being named Mrs. Arizona America’s Touch of Class
she has been able to be a member of the board of directors and as well being
able to collect items and letters that have been shipped to soldiers.
Why she chose this:
For the past few years my brother has been able to serve in the United
States Army, and for that time my family has been able to send our love and
support through packages and letters. Recently my brother has retired from
the military my family and I still wanted to support our troops. We then
researched different programs and were impressed with Forgotten Soldiers
Outreach Program.
Volunteering is important, and how can anyone else help:
With my platform anyone can help. You can sponsor a box, ship needed items,
send cards of support, or even take a few minutes and send an email that
will be printed off and included in the packages. One can also submit family
and friends who are serving to receive packages of support.

The history of her platforms;
Forgotten Soldiers Outreach started with one woman who wanted to help the
troops who were serving our country. She was speaking with a friend who had
a son who serving overseas and who was missing home and becoming frustrated.
So Lynelle Chauncey started to write letters and send care packages to her
friend’s son and his unit. From there others wanted to become involved and
the program grew and is now proud to have a non-profit organization and
carry the Tax Exempt under section 501(c)(3).
